40 Days of Prayer: Day 3
Just how free is free will?
God has created us all with free will. We are not a bunch of programmed robots. We consciously make daily choices. We exercise our will in what to wear, where to go, when to get out of bed, why we want to do something and how we will do that thing we want to do. Including our relationship and interaction with God.
In the creation we live in there are 3 differing wills at work, Gods will, Satans will and mans will. In my walk with the lord I have often wondered why God just doesn’t take Satan out now? In my perspective life would be so much easier, right?
But God wants us to work hand in hand with Him to put Satan in his place. That requires surrender, self discipline, perseverance and a healthy understanding of Gods will that works in and through us. We cannot allow ourselves to get caught up in the mess that the will of Satan has created on our planet.
Ephesians 5:15-21
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
Free will has a cost, its not free… you must surrender your will and resist the will of the devil.
James 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Let your daily actions, thoughts and words be worship to God. Dial in, focus on God.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Prayed for you all this morning!
Have a great Day!
Much Love,
Pastor Scott
