Psalms 5-7, 10, 11, 13, 17
Day 126 - Monday, May 06
Throughout the life of king David, his heart was persistently seeking God in prayers and psalms, and it is a testimony to God’s faithfulness in looking back at his whole life, even though there was much of his time spent in running from his enemies, and fighting against the enemies of Israel.
In these psalms David keeps going to God, and praying that He would rebuke and cast down all those who were proud and oppressed the helpless. When we look at the whole of David’s life, that’s exactly what God did, even though it might have seemed like God was not listening in the middle of a given set of circumstances.
We can each take comfort in the fact that God is faithful to hear and answer our cries to Him, even though His solutions and timing end up being different than what we might be thinking or asking.
